PRACTISE WITH PURPOSE. BUILD CONFIDENCE. STAY CONNECTED.
Consistency is one of the most important parts of an actor’s development — but regular training isn’t always accessible, and practising alone can feel unfocused or isolating.
The Studio is an on-demand monthly performance hub designed to support young actors as they develop monologues, build audition skills, and practise independently with clarity and confidence. It offers structure without pressure, professional insight without overwhelm, and a supportive space to stay connected to acting all year round.
The Studio is suitable for young actors aged 9–19, and is organised into age groups so members connect with others at a similar stage in their training.

Each month in The Studio has a clear focus — such as monologue work, audition skills, performance confidence, or character development — helping young actors feel confident about what to work on and why.
The Studio is fully on-demand, with no live sessions and no fixed timetable. Members can engage at their own pace, fitting practice around school, exams, and other commitments.
There are:
- no compulsory uploads
- no deadlines
- no pressure to “keep up”
Members can dip in lightly or use the Studio more intensively when they need extra support.

The Studio is ideal for young actors who:
No previous experience is required, and there is no expectation to perform at a particular level.
The reasons for young actors to join:
The Studio isn’t about pressure or perfection.
It’s about building a sustainable relationship with your acting — one month at a time.
- A place to practise regularly.
- A place to stay connected.
- A place to grow with confidence.
Each month includes a curated selection of age-appropriate monologues and scenes designed to support the current focus.
These are optional resources that members can use to guide their practice or spark new ideas.
Optional, low-pressure challenges encourage regular practice and exploration.
These are designed to support development without assessment, deadlines, or comparison.
An expanding library of resources covers voice, movement, character work, self-taping, independent practice, and actor mindset.
New resources are added regularly.
Each month features a relaxed interview with a working actor or drama school student, sharing honest experiences of monologues, auditions, nerves, rejection, and training.
These conversations offer reassurance, perspective, and real-world insight.
Each month there is a focus on literary material - acting/theatre books and plays, and professional performance work.
This helps to expand knowledge, as well as providing extension possibilities and recommendations for those who want to take their development and understanding further.
Members can access short, pre-recorded guidance videos alongside example performances with commentary explaining what works and why.
Together, these offer clear, practical insight into monologue work, auditions and self-tapes, performance choices, and confidence.
The Studio celebrates commitment, consistency, and generosity. Members can earn digital badges and occasional recognition for participation, reflection, and engagement — not for being “the best”.
Progress in The Studio is about building habits, confidence, and independence at your own pace.
Each month, Studio members may be selected to receive a book from Methuen Drama, recognising thoughtful engagement, commitment to practice, or creative exploration.
Prizes are awarded to support learning and curiosity, and are not based solely on performance level.
A supportive online space where members can reflect, share experiences, and connect with other young actors in their age group.
